About The Workshops

How It Started

I have 30 years of experience of working with children, young people and their parents in many different roles over the decades including behaviour consultation, primary mental health, play therapy, welfare secure estate settings, education staff supervision and training and parent coaching. I have become increasingly aware that, although professionally I have access to a wealth of evidence based information to inform my practice, there was very little available for parents that didn't focus predominantly on strategies or 'fire fighting'. This might help in the moment but won't have any lasting impact. So I decided to write my own workshops. The workshops are all rooted in the principle that understanding the drivers for behaviour is the key to more connected, attuned parenting. When relationships are attuned there is very little need for any strategies. It was important to me that the workshops were available to everyone, so CMH Workshops operates as a service subsidization social enterprise, this means any profits are used to provide free workshops for parents who can't afford to pay.

All workshops are available as live, interactive workshops. These are friendly and welcoming sessions, where you can choose to ask questions and share experiences or, if you prefer, you can watch quietly with your camera off. No awkward breakout rooms or forced participation!

Or you can order a pre recorded workshop to watch at a time to suit you.

I attended this workshop yesterday (Teenage Brain Development and Behaviour) and it was like a revelation: it provides such a good insight in what our teenagers are going through and the way we can be there for them in such a challenging journey. I would strongly recommend to parents of teenagers or even pre teens, whether at challenging stage or not. The workshop is very factual and i could relate to most situations described. One of the best 2h that you could invest in your teenagers future and in you to gain the knowledge to help them. Thank you very much.
